Ceremonies

What is a Ceremony with Amapola?

  • What happens during a ceremony?

We begin with cacao, grounding ourselves in intention. Through guided meditation and (reflective) exercises, we explore our inner world. With gentle creative rituals, we embody our insights. And we close in stillness, community, and clarity. This way you will go home feeling calm yet empowered for your next step.

  • Why should I join a ceremony?

Maybe because you’re tired of doing it all on your own. Or maybe because you feel lost, like a part of you has gone quiet, and you’re not sure how to find your way back.

These ceremonies are your sacred pause. A space to slow down, soften, and come home to yourself. To reconnect with your truth, not through more doing or HAVE TO’s, but through deep presence. Back into the body and in connection with yourself and the powerful feminine.

You don’t need to have it all together. You just need to show up, with your tired heart, your open hands, and a willingness to remember who you are.

Things you may want to know:

  • A journal, a pen, and anything that helps you feel cozy and grounded (blanket, socks, or a favorite crystal etc.) It is best to wear loose-fitted comfortable clothing. Everything else will be provided.

  • That’s completely okay! This is a safe, non-judgmental space where all of you is welcome. You don’t need to hide or fix anything. Just let yourself be held. You’re in the right place. These spaces are designed to hold you exactly as you are.

  • We normally use English as our main language, but when all the participants speak and understand Dutch, it will be held in Dutch.

  • Not at all! These gatherings are for everyone, whether it’s your first ceremony or your fiftieth. I’ll guide you through each step with gentleness and clarity.

  • A cacao ceremony is a sacred gathering where we drink ceremonial-grade cacao with intention. Cacao opens the heart, softens the nervous system, and helps us connect more deeply to ourselves and others. It’s not about “doing it right”, it’s about showing up honestly and allowing the medicine to work in your own way.

I get my cacao from starsigns.nl she makes her own lovely blend!

  • Cacao is a natural plant medicine, but if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or on certain medications (like antidepressants or heart medication), it’s best to consult with your doctor first. Let me know in advance if you have any health concerns, I can always prepare a lighter dose or offer a different drink if needed.

  • There are moments for optional sharing, but nothing is ever forced. You’re always free to keep things private. This is your space.

  • Absolutely! Many women come solo, and often leave feeling more connected than they expected. This is a beautiful space to meet yourself and others.

  • Attending the women’s circle was such a wonderful experience.

The small, supportive circle made me feel genuinely seen and held, and the addition of cacao, snacks, and tea brought a warm, nurturing touch to the gathering. I left the circle feeling empowered, aligned, and excited about what lies ahead. If you’re seeking a space to reset and gain some clarity, I wholeheartedly recommend this circle and Mariska’s guidance. It’s a beautiful opportunity to step into your next season with intention.

  • A safe space

The Women's Circle was a beautiful experience, organized and led by Mariska. Her warm and caring guidance created a safe space where we could reflect and grow. A valuable experience that brought us together. The guided meditation, in particular, left a lasting impression.
