April 13th, Pink Moon in Libra - Balance or burnout: The Pink moon is here to recalibrate

Dear beautiful people! On April 13, 2025, at 2:22 AM the Full Moon in Libra reaches her peak. And this one is all about harmony, balance, love, connection, and beauty. This moon marks the first full moon of spring, and is named after the delicate moss pink flowers (phlox) that bloom around this time. Think of it as nature’s way of saying: It’s time to bloom, too.

Sadly, even though she is nicknamed “Pink moon”, she won’t be looking pink. But what she lacks in color, she makes up for in wisdom.

This Full Moon invites us into the sacred space of balance. It’s not about perfection; it's about coming home to what feels aligned, both within ourselves and in our relationships. Expect gentle nudges (or bold revelations) in the areas of boundaries, balance, and truth-telling with kindness. Because this Full Moon is lighting up the tension between peacekeeping and people-pleasing vs. courage and confrontation.

The energy supports gentle renewal and reconnecting with your inner compass. What feels true? What feels light? What feels… off? Let’s explore what this moon has in store for your heart, your body, your soul and dive into the rituals you didn’t know you needed.

Themes of this full moon

Libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, harmony, and relationships. And therefore it’s here to show you:

  • The quality of our relationships (with others and ourselves). Questioning your relationships: Is this still working for me?

  • The dance between self-care and compromise. Craving peace, but feeling the urge to finally say that one damn thing you’ve been swallowing.

  • The desire for inner calm amidst external noise. Longing for beauty, harmony, and art, but first needing to clear the emotional clutter in your head and heart.

  • A craving for peace, fairness, and deeper emotional balance. Noticing passive-aggressive tension rise... in yourself or others (watch those text messages 👀)

To make it extra spicy: This moon sits opposite the Sun in fiery Aries, making the inner conflict REAL: Should I stand up for myself or keep the peace?

Spoiler alert: You’re allowed to do both. That’s the Libra lesson.

What to expect

  • Balance (within yourself, your energy, your calendar, and emotional intensity in relationships)

  • Boundaries vs. Connection: The urge to speak your truth (even if your voice shakes)

  • Sensitivity to disharmony, externally or within, leading to radical self-honesty in partnership

  • A deep need for beauty, art, and softness in your environment. While also beautifying your inner world, not just your living room.

Whatever surfaces, it’s here to help you grow closer to the version of you who feels whole, grounded, and deeply aligned.

Rituals for that moon energy

You don’t need a fancy altar or moon water (though you’re welcome to). These practices are here to help you soften, reflect, and reconnect. Pick what feels right, no need to do all of them. Rituals work best when they feel like you.

  1. Mirror work + journaling: Look yourself in the eyes. Ask:“Where am I sacrificing myself in the name of keeping things 'nice'?” Then write it out. No filter. No fluff. Just truth.

  2. Candle release ritual: Light a candle and write down what feels out of alignment (habits, thoughts, dynamics). Now, you can burn the paper (safely!), BUT you can also choose to work with Libra’s element: Air. Visualise what you want to release into the fire of the candle and blow it out. Bonus points if the fire goes out by your breath through whispering your release sentence!

  3. Heart-centered meditation: Breathe deeply into your heart space. Inhale softness, exhale pressure. Let your heart speak. Hold your hands over your heart center while you rest in stillness. Visualize warm light coming from your hands into your heart space.

  4. Beauty as self-devotion: Take a mindful bath, wear your favorite fabric, nourish your skin. Let beauty become a ritual of coming home to yourself.

  5. Relationship energy cleanse: Close your eyes and imagine energetic cords connected to people you want to release or let go. Decide to reclaim your energy and let it return to your body, when you feel ready, cut the cords with those persons in your mindseye. This isn’t about cutting people off, it’s about reclaiming your own energy.

Reflective journal prompts

  1. Where in my life do I feel out of balance, and what would harmony look like?

  2. How do my relationships mirror how I treat myself?

  3. What’s one truth I’ve been avoiding, and what would change if I faced it?

  4. Where am I overgiving, and what would it feel like to come back to center?

  5. What does true partnership, romantic or otherwise, mean to me now?

Libra’s gentle influence on the body

Your body speaks during full moons, and this one calls for soft support. Libra governs the kidneys (our energetic filters), the lower back (support), and the skin (our boundary with the world). Feeling back pain or a breakout? Annoying, but not random.

Self-care tips:

  • Hydration (kidneys love water, not 4 cups of coffee)

  • Gentle back stretches or massage (time to book that gentle yoga class or relaxing massage!)

  • Give your skin some love with clean, nourishing products

  • Rest from too much screen time or conflict (yes, including the news)

This is a beautiful time to go slow, especially if your body asks for softness.

What to focus on during yoga?

"Balance from Within"

Choose grounding, spacious postures that bring your nervous system back to neutral. You don’t need power, this is about poise and presence.

Try these 5 poses:

  1. Tree Pose (Vrksasana) → for inner stability when life wobbles

  2. Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana) → gentle heart opening and lower back support

  3. Seated Forward Fold (Paschimottanasana) → inward reflection and surrender

  4. Supine Twist (Supta Matsyendrasana) → detox the kidneys, twist out old energy

  5. Savasana → to integrate, surrender, and simply be

Let your practice be slow, intentional, and full of breath. OR Create a playlist with soft piano, gentle strings, or ambient tones. Let your body move in ways that feel like ease.

What I’m trying to say is…

This Full Moon in Libra is your reminder: You don’t have to abandon yourself to keep the peace. You can create harmony without losing your voice. You can be both soft and strong.

Let this moon be the mirror you didn’t know you needed—showing you the version of yourself that’s clear, calm, and consciously choosing her life. Let this be the moment where you stop tipping the scales against yourself.

Because love, you’re not here to tiptoe. You’re here to be whole.

With love & balance,
