Lady whistledown journaling reading letter

Dear gentle readers..

December 5th, Gemini Full Supermoon – Alright, loves, grab your cup of cacao or tea, because this Super Full Moon in Gemini is coming in loud, curious, and chatty, and she is making sure we don’t tiptoe out of 2025 quietly.

Welcome to the final Full Moon of the year. The 3rd and last SUPER moon of this year. This moon doesn't whisper; she yaps (a lot). She connects dots. She delivers clarity by accident. She turns emotional chaos into words, and she demands a grand finale with a mental plot twist or two for funzies. She is our best friend who doesn’t let us get away with our excuses, because she believes in our worth and potential.

We’re not just closing out another calendar year, we’re wrapping up the final chapters of the Wood Snake year. That slippery serpent (try saying that 10 times) has been teaching us strategy, shedding old skins, giving intuitive truths, and forcing us to move with intention. The Wood Snake brought deep introspection, long-game thinking, spiritual upgrades, and a whole load of very uncomfortable “Why does this happen?” moments. (Which… rude, but okay.)

But now, my dear, the cosmic stagehands are already setting up props for 2026: the Year of the Fire Horse, which is basically the universe saying, “Enough plotting and planning. Light the match. Run with the wind. Try the thing that scares you a little.”
The Fire Horse is bold, untamable, fiery, and allergic to stagnation. So yes, the vibes are shifting, dramatically, and this Gemini Supermoon is our launching pad.

And let me tell you… I’ve been feeling it. Lately, I’ve been so flooded with ideas and impulses that I swear my brain has turned into an unorganized Pinterest board, except everything is half-finished, super exciting, and screaming for attention at the same time. I opened my laptop to write this blog and somehow ended up reorganizing my food cabinet and Googling whether squirrels have emotional breakdowns before winter (which apparently… they kinda do, poor things).

Now, before we go any further, I must tell you: a dear friend and loyal reader confessed that she can no longer read my blogs in my actual voice… only in the voice of Lady Whistledown from Bridgerton. Honestly, soooo funny, but now I can’t un-hear it either. And if you’d like to read the rest of this in a posh, witty, slightly scandalized British narrator voice… I highly recommend giving it a go. It pairs beautifully with Gemini chaos.

So, shall we continue? The stage is set, the Moon is glowing, the year is closing, and Lady Whistledown is clearing her throat. Let’s dive in.

Why do we call it a Cold Moon?

I can hear you go “well,, Duhhhhh”, but let me still name it for the format, mmkay.
This Full Moon is nicknamed the Cold Moon, arriving when the nights stretch long, the air bites back, and winter starts side-eyeing anyone who still thinks a light jacket is enough. And for the readers outside of the Netherlands: you’d be shocked how many Dutch boys casually wear shorts and slippers in -1°C… on a bike. (not judging, just very amazed by their immune system, and their thyroid function)

This moon arrives right as the year is exhaling. The energy drops, the noise fades, and you're left with your own thoughts
But beneath the frosty aesthetic, the Cold Moon has a deeper personality. She’s the moon that says:

“Hey… everything’s going still on the outside so you can hear what’s happening on the inside.”

The best insights don’t always show up in the heat of action, sometimes they come in the frost, in the pause, in the “okay, so what now?” or the “I’m so triggered by my family I might spontaneously combust” moments.

So if you’ve been spiraling, stagnating, questioning every life choice since July, or feeling like you’re in that awkward “loading… please wait” stage of personal evolution

This is your moon.

Now let’s tap into what this Cold Moon in Gemini is actually stirring up in your mind, your heart, and your beautifully chaotic inner monologue. And how to work with her without spiraling into decision paralysis (Gemini, I’m looking at you).

Themes of this full moon

Are you sure you are ready to hear the themes?
Take a deep breath and refill your drink.. You might want to gather your full focus for this.

You ask? I serve.
What themes are we inviting in, you ask?
Fun stuff..

Truth. Clarity. Connection. Mental fireworks. Information overload. Nervous system tap dancing. Identity re-editing. And the undeniable urge to say the thing.

If Aries is “light the match,” and Taurus is “let’s light a scented candle and warm my snack with it,” then Gemini is:
“Let’s talk about the match, analyze the fire hazard possibilities, call your best friend, start a group chat, accidentally start a podcast… and then light it anyway.”

But mostly, this moon is about information, revelation, communication, and the stories you tell yourself. The ones you repeat, rewrite, avoid, or cling to because they feel familiar. Gemini energy is playful, curious, clever, and slightly chaotic, but it can also call you on your bullshit.
The crossroads between what you think and what you feel, between what you say and what you actually mean, is highlighted in neon yellow during this period. It’s the moment you realize your inner narrator has been whispering the same sentence for months… and it’s finally time to do something with it.

This Supermoon pulls at your mind, your voice, your relationships, your stories, your inner narrator, the whole mental operating system.
A Full Moon of seeing truth where you’ve been dodging it, of realizing where you’ve been talking around something instead of through it.

Here’s what you might feel:

  • Restless mind, restless mouth: Racing thoughts, verbal diarrhea, oversharing, or suddenly understanding something you’ve been trying to “figure out” for months.

  • Communication upgrades: This is the “okay, we need to talk” moon, not in a doom-y way, but in a “hey, let’s stop pretending this doesn’t matter” way. And yes.. I’m referring to your self-talk and inner critic the most here, darling.
Expect conversations that bring relief, understanding, or surprising vulnerability.

  • Duality + decision fog: Feeling two things at once, wanting two different paths, craving change but also stability, saying “yes” and “no” simultaneously.
Gemini loves nuance… sometimes to your mental exhaustion.

  • Nervous System on high alert: Energy spikes. Fidgeting. Restlessness. Scrolling like you’re on a mission. Brain buzzing even when your body is saying “please…CHILL.”

  • Identity editing: This moon highlights where your inner story needs an edit. What are you telling yourself that’s no longer true? What belief has expired but you’ve kept on the shelf anyway? Moments where you can finally articulate what you want, need, or can’t hold anymore.

Small shifts that change everything: new ideas, new opinions, new interests, new ways of expressing yourself.
You might even rewrite a narrative you’ve been carrying for years.

  • Sleep disruptions: Overthinking with a spotlight on it. Weird dreams. Sudden realizations at the worst possible time. Just feeling wired, but tired.

  • Conflicts, miscommunications & WhatsApp debates: People speaking too fast, misunderstanding each other, or getting triggered by tone.
Gemini rules communication, so naturally, she also rules miscommunication.
Fun times when making Christmas plans, huh?

Your body’s whisper (or scream)

Even though Gemini lives in the mind, the body definitely gets pulled into the group chat. Gemini rules the lungs, breath, arms, hands, shoulders, and nervous system, basically everything involved in speaking, typing, texting, and overanalyzing your entire existence at 1 a.m.

You might notice:

  • Tight shoulders or neck tension (from carrying 27 thoughts at once)

  • Shallow breathing

  • Restlessness or jittery energy

  • Clumsy hands or “why did I drop that again?” moments

  • A buzzing nervous system that feels one espresso shot away from lift-off

Your body’s request?
Slow. Down. Lady
Breathe deeper than your thoughts.
Shake out the tension.
Touch the ground (literally).
And give your poor nervous system a moment to stop auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.

Ground the mind. Move the body. Stop lying to yourself.
Write out your thoughts before you unleash them.
Pause before reacting.
Channel your inner Lady Whistledown if needed.

Take breaks from stimulation.

This Full Moon wants to give language to the things you’ve felt, but held inside. To let curiosity loosen the knots you’ve been afraid to untangle. To reconnect with the version of you that still believes growth can be fun.

Just remember: clarity doesn’t come from thinking harder.
It comes from letting the truth rise on its own.

Just a little presence goes a long way with this moon and your body will thank you.
You might notice people talking faster, texting more, over-explaining, or getting weirdly passionate about tiny details. Gemini season makes everyone a little extra chatty and mentally overstimulated. Expect more misunderstandings, spontaneous truth-telling, and group chats suddenly coming back to life like they’ve been resurrected by moonlight.

What to focus on during yoga?

Because Gemini rules the lungs, breath, and communication, this Full Moon lights up the Throat Chakra (suprrissse!) the center of truth, expression, clarity, and actually saying what you mean (wild concept, I know).
So our yoga theme here is: Open the channels. Free the voice. Soften the mind.

Here are five supportive poses:

1. Fish Pose (Matsyasana) :A gentle throat opener that helps release blocked expression and emotional tightness. Perfect for when your truth feels stuck somewhere between your heart and your tongue.
2. Supported Shoulderstand (Salamba Sarvangasana): Activates and stimulates the throat chakra while calming the mind. Great for settling that Gemini buzz and shifting perspective.
3. Cat-Cow with Lion’s Breath: Mobilizes the spine, opens the chest, and clears stagnant throat energy. Also wonderfully dramatic, very fitting for this Supermoon.
4. Seated Neck + Shoulder Release: Because… Gemini tension. A simple flow of ear-to-shoulder stretches, and shoulder rolls can melt the mind-body static.
5. Twist + Open-Heart Poses: For example seated spinal twist, low lunge with gentle backbend or thread-the-needle. This helps release emotional tension, and opens posture for honest expression.

Extra suggestions for the lovely yoga teacher reader: After savasana, invite students to sit in a comfortable seated pose and do one round of shared humming breath (like a soft bee-breath (Bhramari Pranayama), but gentler). The collective humming vibrates through the throat chakra, calms the nervous system, and creates a sense of connection without needing words.
In my previous blog post (here) I shared more poses and breathing techniques that align with this full moon as well!

Rituals for that moon energy

This Gemini Supermoon is a love letter to connection, real conversation, real resonance, real “oh thank god, it’s not just me” moments. So the ritual is a bit different this time:

Find your people.
Or at least one person who feels safe, warm, and compatible with your emotional WiFi.
Have a real conversation. Not surface-level updates, but truth-sharing, “here’s what’s actually happening inside me” honesty.
Talk. Listen. Laugh. Release.
Gemini magic works best when it’s shared.

And if you’re craving something deeper…

Join a women’s circle or cacao ceremony near you.
They remind us that healing doesn’t have to be solitary.
They offer a space where your voice matters, even if it shakes.
Where you can be held without being judged, witnessed without being analyzed.
A place where you can exhale the stories you’ve been carrying alone.

Cacao ceremonies are the ideal safe space to explore. Gently opening the heart, softening the mind, and inviting connection in a way that feels warm, grounded, and deeply human. Just make sure you feel a click with the facilitator, and she’s properly trained or certified.

If your heart is craving that kind of space, seek out a women’s circle or cacao ceremony near you.

(And of course, if you’re in the Netherlands, you’re always welcome in mine! I’d love to hold space for you under this moon. Spaces are filling up quickly, but you can always join my waitlist here! You’ll be the first to know when new events open, and you’ll receive some lovely extras, too.

And for my loves who feel lonely or heavy right now...

I see you. Those feelings are tough, but they need softness too.
Gemini energy can amplify the ache of wanting connection when you don’t have it yet. And the upcoming holliday season can be quite different for some..
So here’s your version of the ritual:

  • Write a letter to yourself as if you were the friend you wish you had.

  • Whisper one truth out loud, even if no one else hears it.

  • Sit with a hand on your heart and one on your throat, breathing gently until your body softens.

  • Send one message into the world, a check-in to an (old) friend, a thank you, a “thinking of you.” A tiny opening is still an opening.

Connection doesn’t always mean a group.
Sometimes it’s the first brave moment you share with yourself.

Reflective journal prompts

1. What truth have I been circling around instead of saying out loud, and what would happen if I finally voiced it?
2. Which story about myself feels outdated or too tight, and what version of it feels more honest now?
3. If I could step into 2026 as my wisest, calmest, most honest self, what beliefs or habits would I carry forward, and what would I shed?
4. Where in my life do I need to speak more clearly, to myself, or to someone I care about.
5. What sparks of curiosity keep returning to me, and what small step can I take to explore one of them before the year ends?

Gemini’s parting words would be…

So here we are, love, the last Full Moon of 2025. You’ve made it through the plot twists, the brain fog, the breakthroughs, the unasked-for lessons (I mean, I broke my hip during yoga this year,, like, ??), and the emotional struggles of the Wood Snake year. This Gemini Supermoon is your moment of clarity before the curtain drops.

Your “main-character-looks-up-at-the-sky-and-suddenly-gets-it” moment.

Gemini’s message? For the people in the back:
Tell the truth. To yourself first.
The real one. The one your inner narrator has been whispering behind the scenes all year.

You are not asked to fix everything or sprint into the Fire Horse era like an overachiever. But you are asked (FIRMLY) to listen. To notice the thoughts that want to become words. To honor the questions that won’t leave you alone. To let curiosity guide you toward the next chapter instead of fear. Your choice.

Although the year of the snake officially ends on February 16, you’re shedding the last layer of 2025. And with that, you’re clearing space for the fire, motion, and bold new beginnings of 2026.

So breathe.
Speak softly to yourself.
Let the truth rise instead of forcing clarity.

You don’t need the whole map tonight, just the courage to admit what’s real.
Because the moment you do, you’re already stepping forward.

So if you end up wrapped in a blanket, narrating your own life in full Lady Whistledown fashion… Then congratulations, my dear! You’ve unlocked an extra special Gemini ritual.
How-ever you might spend your time this last full moon/month: see it as a chance to upgrade your mindset and step into 2026 intentionally. What stories are you taking with you into the new cycle? What beliefs do you leave behind?

And, remember, if someone crosses your mind this week, take it as a sign. Reach out. Your words might be the exact medicine they didn’t know how to ask for. Not all struggles are loud.

Thus, dear reader, may this moon guide you gently home. To the truth, the clarity, and the becoming that has always been yours.
